Alpha Acquires McAllister Mills Textile Division –
Adding proven fabrics, tapes, ropes and sleeving to strengthen our materials portfolio.
Alpha Engineered Composites is pleased to announce the acquisition of the Textile Division of McAllister Mills, effective September 23, 2025. This strategic addition expands Alpha’s engineered textile product offering – bringing proven fiberglass, basalt and silica fabrics, tapes, ropes and sleeving into our supply portfolio – while maintaining manufacturing continuity at McAllister’s Independence, Virginia facility.

With the McAllister acquisition, Alpha continues to build a multi-brand portfolio that delivers textile-based thermal protection across a broader temperature range and set of applications.
What this brings to Alpha and to our customers
McAllister’s fabrics, tapes, ropes and sleeving complement Alpha’s coated textiles and high-temperature materials, giving customers more material options from a single supplier.
The McAllister textile business will continue operations at its 35,000 sq. ft. Independence, VA facility. Customers can expect the same part numbers and reliable fulfillment during the transition.
Combined technical capabilities will speed problem solving and material recommendations for demanding applications.
What we did NOT acquire
Alpha acquired McAllister’s textile manufacturing assets and product lines (fabrics, tapes, ropes and sleeving). Alpha did not acquire a finished-product removable-blanket fabrication business.
