Alpha Associates Names Christopher J. Avallone President and C.O.O.

Alpha Associates, Inc., a leading manufacturer of high performance industrial fabrics and composites, announced that Christopher J. Avallone has succeeded company founder A. Louis Avallone as President and Chief Operating Officer, effective June 15. Lou Avallone will remain as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.

In his new position, Chris Avallone will be responsible for all corporate day-to-day operations. In particular, he will oversee and manage sales, product development, manufacturing, distribution and administration. Commenting on the promotion, Lou Avallone said, “Over the past 12 years Chris has clearly demonstrated that he has acquired vast knowledge of Alpha, its products, and markets. He has also shown the leadership qualities necessary to enable Alpha to face the challenges of the 21st century.”

Chris began his career with Alpha in 1988 and was most recently Vice President and CFO. Before that, he held various positions within the company in product development, quality, MIS and finance. Chris holds a B.S. in Chemistry from Syracuse University and an M.B.A. from Seton Hall University, where he was a member of Beta Gamma Sigma, the Business Honor Society. He is a member of TEC, an international organization of chief executive officers.

Alpha Associates’corporate offices and principal manufacturing operations are located in Woodbridge, N.J. The company’s High Performance Products Division is located in Lakewood, N.J.
