Alpha Associates and Tetraflon Agree to Joint Venture

Alpha Associates Inc. and Tetraflon de México S.A. de C.V. are pleased to announce the formation of a joint venture to better serve the rapidly growing PTFE fabric, tape and belting markets. The joint venture will consolidate and share sourcing, rationalize specific manufacturing processes and expand technical capabilities. The resulting partnership will establish the two firms as global leaders in the liquid dispersion coating, film laminating and molding of PTFE-based composites.

Christopher J. Avallone, president of Alpha Associates commented, “The complementary capabilities, technologies and industry experience will provide a competitive advantage to both companies. Alpha Associates, headquartered in Lakewood, N.J., develops, manufactures and markets high performance fabrics and composites for high temperature and critical applications. Alpha operates manufacturing facilities at the Lakewood location and Henderson, Nev., with sales offices and distribution points are in New Jersey, Ohio, Texas, South Carolina and California.

Tetraflon de México, headquartered in Mexico City, develops, manufactures and markets high technology materials for applications in extreme conditions. Tetraflon operates manufacturing facilities in Mexico City and Toluca, with sales offices and distribution points throughout Mexico, Central America and South America.
