Alpha Launches European Facility in Bürgstadt, Germany

Christoper Avallone, president and chief operating officer, announced that Alpha Associates Europe began operations in December 2005.

“The European market presents numerous opportunities for Alpha products and capabilities,” he said. “Alpha Europe furthers our goal of becoming a global supplier of specialty fabrics and composites.”

Based in Bürgstadt, Germany, Alpha Europe has established several key customers and opportunities, as well as successfully marketing the Alphaglas and Flex Duct product lines. Alpha Europe will initially focus on the thermal insulation, welding protection, and expansion joints markets.

Klaus Himmels has been hired as managing director. Prior to joining Alpha, he worked for 11 years for HKO as sales export manager and was responsible for marketing their thermal insulation products in Europe and the United States.
