AVS Sewing Thread S-18PL is comprised of “S-2” fiberglass that is coated with PTFE and lubricated with silicone oil to improve handling and sewing properties. AVS Sewing Thread S-18PL is engineered for use in the manufacture of high temperature textile parts.
Application
AVS Sewing Thread S-18PL is intended for medium temperature sewing applications with service temperatures up to 1400ºF (760ºC) requiring good seam strengths.
AVS Sewing Thread S-18PL is ideal for sewing our standard fiberglass fabrics, our FLXGLAS® HT specialty treated fiberglass fabrics and our standard AVSil® Silica Fabrics. Fabricated textile products include removable covers, thermal exhaust wraps, insulation blankets, insulation pads, and curtains.
